SEPARATE COLLECTION OF GREEN WASTE

Separate collection of any waste fraction means a change in behaviour of citizens. The experiences in other countries have shown that it is a long-lasting process. Therefore, with a pilot project, we are going to test the organisation and execution of the separate collection in order to find out the most suitable system for our region.

You can help make the pilot successful by separating the organic waste from the other waste correctly as shown in the figure– don’t hesitate to contact us, in case of questions.

Bioplastic: More and more bio-based plastic material is developed. Theoretically most of them can be composted as they are composed of organic material other than petroleum-based. Nevertheless, in practice, the material is to stable to be decomposed in a reasonable time. It is not yet advisable to dispose those materials with your organic waste – also not for home composting. For now, bio-based plastic material shall be disposed as general waste.
