After rehabilitation of the former dumpsite of Vlorё Municipality, a pilot composting plant will be constructed there. At this pilot compost plant, we are going to test various composting processes in order get the most efficient process and best accepted compost. Based on the experience made, the capacity of composting will be increased in future.

During the composting process, organic matter is decomposed to approximately half of its input mass through loss of water and organic dry matter. After conditioning of the composted material, the compost can be used in gardens, parks and in agricultural as soil conditioner.
